LTD Nordstreet is a crowdfunding platform included in the Public List of crowdfunding platform operators administered by the Bank of Lithuania. Crowdfunding is a method of financing when a project made public on a special platform is financed at its own expense by financiers unrelated to that project or when financiers acquire creditor's claim rights through a crowdfunding platform.
The Nordstreet crowdfunding platform finances a variety of business loans. It is an alternative way to get loans for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as possible refinancing of existing loans or a loan for starting a business. This type of financing opens up the possibility for individuals to invest in business loans.
At the end of 2020, Nordstreet started business financing activities in the Latvian and Estonian markets.
Nordstreet is included in the Public List of Operators of Pooled Financing Platforms administered by the Bank of Lithuania. 2020 was the most successful year for the company, its turnover increased by more than 184% and exceeded 0.4 million euros, and the EBITDA indicator was positive and reached more than 17%. This year, the company plans to continue its business financing activities in existing markets and launch new ones in Spain and Germany, and to strengthen its position in European crowdfunding with the launch of operations under the Co-financing Regulation. The new regulation * will allow a crowdfunding service provider licensed in one Member State to provide cross-border services in other Member States.
