Important update regarding personal income tax (PIT) taxation of "Referral" bonuses

Nordstreet, implementing the State Tax Inspectorate's (VMI) June 3, 2026 clarification regarding the taxation of bonuses with personal income tax (PIT), informs that as of June 1, 2026, "Referral" bonuses paid to tax residents of the Republic of Lithuania are subject to a 15% PIT rate.

Nordstreet will withhold PIT automatically, so from this date a smaller bonus amount, net of tax, will be transferred to your account.

Bonuses accrued before June 1, 2026 that were not taxed with PIT will need to be taxed by you personally — you will fulfill this obligation by submitting your annual income tax return.

Please note that this change applies to "Referral" bonuses.

We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any questions, please contact the Nordstreet team.
